MATECH's Technology May Be Key to Creating Jobs and Aiding in Obama's Economic Stimulus Plan

Los Angeles, CA-December 9, 2008 -
MATECH Corp. (OTC Bulletin Board: MTCH - News) stands ready to provide feasible solutions in support of Obama's economic recovery and stimulus plan. The President-Elect outlined his economic plan this weekend on his weekly radio address and on NBC's Meet the Press, which focused heavily on infrastructure.

Mr. Obama wants his plan to not only provide short-term stimulus to the economy but also to help build a long-term solution to the unemployment and aging infrastructure problems facing the U.S. Obama said his plan would put millions of people to work by "making the single largest new investment in our national infrastructure since the creation of the federal highway system in the 1950s."

MATECH has a proven track record of saving bridge owners money through improving bridge management and public safety with its cutting edge technology, the Electrochemical Fatigue Sensor(TM) (EFS) System. The technology is easy to use after only 3 days of training and will be an easy transition for unemployed factory workers and technology workers.

Through eliminating subjectivity of inspections for cracking in bridge members (the FHWA has stated that 90% of these cracks are missed with visual inspection), MATECH is helping to eliminate wasted funds by prioritizing repairs and verifying their effectiveness immediately.

This new technology is being deployed now for over a dozen bridge owners on more than 40 bridges. Results continue to help owners make the right fixes at the right time, saving more than a quarter of their maintenance and repair budgets and more importantly, increasing public safety.

Robert M. Bernstein, MATECH's CEO says, "MATECH stands ready to support Mr. Obama's plan through rapid deployment in all 50 states on highway bridges as well as on railroad structures to save millions of dollars for each owner, resulting in not only creating thousands of jobs across the country but also in saving money for the state and federal government without a huge investment. This economic stimulus plan must incorporate working smarter, not just harder."

Through use of state-of-the-art technologies, like MATECH's EFS, and as outlined in Chairman Oberstar's Bridge Safety Bill, we can move forward with this economic plan and build a better future for the U.S.
